Open Book project

Building on our track record of succesful collaboration with University of Cambridge's Fitzwilliam Museum, which has been established in the Contextual Wrappers 1 and 2 projects, K-Int began work on another JISC funded project - Open Book - on 1 February 2012.

The project, which also involves Collections Trust, will involve implementing the CIIM middleware product at the Fitzwilliam Museum and working with the Museum staff to investigate the modelling of object and collection level metadata in RDF.  The project will focus on the Fitzwilliam's internationally important collection of illuminated manuscripts and will deliver both a RESTful RDF delivery endpoint and a SPARQL query service.

The project runs for 7 months and updates will be provided on the project blog.
