European eLearning Standards

One part of this work is to develop and maintain a registry of Aplication Profiles relating to eLearning. The project will develop a generic Registry API in JAVA which can be accessed by a range of protocol adapters. The registry will be accessible to both human and machine agents.

The other part of the work involves Neil Smith working with Erik Duval and Marc Van Coillie to produce a CEN Workshop Agreement (CWA) entitled "Guidelines and support for building Application profiles in e-learning". The two parts of the work are closely linked with Neil being involved in both to ensure liaison takes place as required.

The work kicks off with a Workshop on Learning Technologies meeting in Berlin in April. More information will be available on this site as the work progresses.
